Cookie Policy

Effective date: 18 May 2026

This policy explains which cookies and similar tools Ripazo uses. You can change your choices at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. We also use localStorage (similar to cookies, but accessible only by the website that set them) and sessionStorage (same idea, but cleared when you close the tab). When we say "cookies" in the rest of this page, we mean all three — the legal treatment under the ePrivacy Directive and Dutch AVG art. 11.7a is the same.

These are essential for the service to work. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and AVG art. 11.7a they do not require consent.

Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will log you out and reset your language preference.

2. Analytics (opt-in — Google Analytics)

Loaded only if you consent under the Analytics category in Cookie preferences.

_gaCookieDistinguishes individual visitors2 yearsGoogle
_ga_<container-id>CookieKeeps Google Analytics 4 session state2 yearsGoogle

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and how the site is used. Analytics data is processed by Google. If you revoke consent, these cookies are cleared and no further data is sent.

3. Error tracking (Sentry)

Ripazo uses Sentry to detect and diagnose errors so the service stays reliable and secure. Error monitoring runs under our legitimate interest in keeping Ripazo working and is not part of the consent categories — it cannot be toggled off in Cookie preferences.

sentrySessionsessionStorageGroups events from one browser session for debuggingSession onlySentry (EU)

Sentry is configured with sendDefaultPii: false, no session replay, and a beforeSend hook that strips email and IP before events leave your browser. We rely on data minimisation rather than consent for this strictly operational use.

4. Advertising

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not run third-party ads, remarketing, or conversion pixels.

5. Third-party embeds

Ripazo does not embed third-party content (YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, Instagram) that would set cookies from those providers. If we add such an embed in future, this page will be updated before the embed ships.

6. Managing your cookies

  • Cookie preferences link in our footer — opens the same dialog you saw on your first visit.
  • Browser settings — block or delete cookies per site. Most browsers also offer a "clear on close" option.

Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will log you out; blocking analytics cookies has no user-visible effect.

7. Changes to this policy

If we add, remove, or replace a tool that uses cookies, we update this page before the change goes live. Material changes cause the consent banner to reappear so you can re-consent or reject.
